1) The easiest narratives to evaluate are the ones prepared on Google Docs, since I can instantly add comments and students can review my edits by using the "Show revision history" option on the file menu.
2) The narratives prepared on paper are generally neat and well-formatted. I now understand why MLA style requires the author's name in the upper-right corner, as I'm attaching rubrics to the upper left corner, blocking the heading on that side of the page. I had the link to MLA style on our class page, but am adding it to our Common Resources page to make it easy to find.
3) MLA style doesn't cover it, but this teacher and I agree: Please don't submit essays in folders. Simply staple the pages together in the upper-left corner. (This teacher's PDF is a another great overview of MLA style.)
