Have you ever found a book that you couldn’t stop reading? One you told all of your friends they have to read too? Your mission in this class is to find that book!
Tips for finding the right book
Ask your friends for recommendations.
Search top-10 lists online. Make sure to include the level you prefer (e.g., teen or young adult) and the genre (e.g., mystery, realistic fiction, fantasy, historical fiction, biography, etc.) in the search box.
Go to the library! Look at the front and back of the covers.
Ask Mr. Wilkinson or Ms. Love or another teacher. (We’ve read a lot of books!)
What if you don’t like your book? Simple: Post a comment explaining why and pick a new one. The goal of the reading program is for you to find books you like.
